This position is responsible for performing the monitoring, analysis and interpretation of
DAC / DNCS, server and business applications performance for the Comcast Cable Video Services Delivery Network Infrastructure. This includes the assembly of various types of performance metrics and trending for each business application. Perform software and hardware upgrades and monitor set top capacity and perform capacity upgrades when needed components.

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance is required.

Required Skills:
Associate’s degree in Computer related field or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Four years of experience with Video Performance Analysis and Monitoring in a DAC / DNCS or digital network environment can be substituted.

At least two years experience in a TCP/IP or Digital, network environment.

• Experience with IP/Ethernet routers and switches is required

·Experience with video encoding/decoding is required

·Experience with transport of video streams is required

·Understanding of HFC architecture and troubleshooting is required

• Experience in UNIX, Linux and Windows OS is required

• Experience with Spectrum, Net Cool, Concord eHealth, Sniffer, and other SNMP tools is preferred.

• Proven analytical and problem solving ability.

• Excellent oral/written communication and inter-personal skills.
