This key position will be responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities and providing preventative and predictive technical support. The E&I Maintenance Unit Leader manages the E&I Maintenance group. The E&I Maintenance group consists of a total of 25 employees including electricians, supervisors and engineers. The group is responsible for maintenance of process control systems, electrical power distribution, instrumentation, and industrial refrigeration systems. Responsibilities: • Plan and schedule all maintenance activities • Provide preventative and predictive technical support • Evaluate and manage equipment and manpower costs • Supervise, coach, train and evaluate employees and contractors Minimum Qualifications: • B.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience • Min 7 years experience in E&I maintenance or engineering in a chemical process industry or manufacturing • Experience and knowledge of the design, selection, application and maintenance of power distribution systems such as high voltage, substations, transformers and MCCs • Experience and knowledge of the design, selection, application, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems typically used in chemical/manufacturing plants • Experience and knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems • Knowledge of maintenance work practices like planning and scheduling, work order handling, work permits, energy isolation, personal protective equipment, and troubleshooting • Capital project experience • Supervisory skills including safety awareness of staff, budget control, scheduling and staff development • Leadership skills including setting goals, priorities and driving continuous improvement • Strong technical and problem solving skills • Good communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects
