This is the 3rd Largest E&S firm in the US. Handles small to large accounts. Salary plus outstanding bonus to build up revenue in this Phoenix office. Responsible for generation and brokerage of new and renewal business. Act as primary contact between producers or other client representatives and insurance carriers, and applies knowledge of insurance policies and procedures to provide proper and effective service and responsible advice. Responsibilities: Identify prospects for business Develops new relationships with individuals responsible for insurance and risk management decisions Maintains relationships with carriers, underwriters and others in the insurance market Obtains referral leads from existing clients Designs sales strategies Processes new business which includes checking paperwork, requesting outstanding information, following-up, submission and tracking through underwriting and issue Assesses client requests for coverage Analyze client risk and exposure to recommend risk programs May prepare proposals and presentations explaining company services Select, submit and negotiate with appropriate market representatives to meet and exceed coverage expectations Oversees the summary of client information to be sent to underwriting Follows up with insurance carriers and underwriters regarding the status of quotes and provides any additional information or rates as necessary Communicates underwriter terms to clients Negotiate commissions Reviews renewal account information Resolves client, carrier or marketer issues Provides feedback to team members Assists team members in acquiring new skills Provides annual input for the performance review of team members Participates and takes leadership roles in targeted associations Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the insurance marketplace Maintains knowledge of insurance carriers and their business practices Participates in continuing education Qualifications: College Degree Five Years Brokerage or Underwriting experience required Brokers License required Developed understanding of risk selection and coverage.
