For more information, please visit us at [link removed] position plans and directs safety and industrial hygiene activities at the plant level by providing training and assistance to all employees. Additionally, the individual will participate in teams across the organization to develop work processes, standards, and procedures for safety and industrial hygiene issues. Required Skills:

Must be an excellent communicator and have an excellent command of the English language. Good technical writing skills are required.

Must be able to present ideas so understanding is accomplished.
College level mathematics or statistics for business
Ability to communicate with people and recommend changes in their work practices to insure a safe work environment.
Must be able to make quick decisions regarding the protection of life and property during emergency response situations.
Experience Required:

5+ years experience in a chemical plant or oil refining setting in occupational safety position with some experience doing industrial hygiene and emergency response.
ASP, CSP, or CIH certification highly desirable; if not certified must be certifiable.
Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene and/or Fire Protection Engineering is required.
